Going to the supermarket normally means trackies and a sweatshirt, but for Karl Lagerfeld it means couture dresses, 6 inch heels and Coco Chanel labelled food items.
On March 4th the exqiuste glassed ceiling Grand Palais in the heart of Paris transformed into the aisles of your local supermarket- with a twist of course. The shelves were stocked with grocery items labelled with the iconic Coco Chanel logo and the aisles became the runway for Coco Chanel’s autumn/winter collection.
Models paraded the new season looks whilst carting trolleys and perusing the food items on the shelves. Karl Lagerfeld’s vsion was to showcase how Chanel couture can transform into everyday item wear. Societies pop culture lifestyle was emodied in the class and elegance forever present in the Chanel look-book. As for the clothes on show…..MAGNIFIQUE!
Cara Delevigne stole the show in a bubble gum pink midriff and matching leggings patterned with holes, her bare stomach was laced with gold chains and her hot pink gloves finished off the outfit perfectly.
Her fierce makeup paired with her sleek low ponytail captured the strong and powerful essence of the Coco Chanel fashion house. All in all it was a magical and bubbly night full of surprises around every corner. It was the weekly shop like no one had ever experienced before……
